What Our Clients Say

We are proud of the relationship we have with our Clients.

"Skyfall Energy are the Principal Engineers acting for Simec Power One Ltd on the design, installation and operation of a series of Bio Fuelled Generating Stations. Cole Groundworks Contracts Ltd have been involved with 2 of a series of 12 installations that are directly providing the clients industrial holdings with renewable electricity and heat. The value of the contracts that Conor Cole and his team have been involved with is circa £5m and it has been delivered on time and in budget. My experience of the whole CGC team has been a very positive one, Conor Cole in particular has gone well above and beyond what one might normally expect of a contractor to get the job done. I have worked in construction for a long time, working on some internationally recognised projects, including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London and I wish that all contractors had Conor Cole’s ability to deliver quality with speed of delivery in such a cheerful fashion. I am sure that Skyfall Energy will now develop a long-term working relationship with Cole Groundworks Contracts and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone seeking a competent contractor with the ability to deliver complex construction projects in a timely and cost effective way."

“The site is a new school in Edinburgh with a value of £35m. The site is quite challenging in terms of the access and space in which to progress the contract. This is my first experience working with Coles and I have to say they are a pleasure to work with. Not only are they producing very high quality work but they are very flexible and have taken on a lot of extra work, external to the site, at short notice and at weekends. I would have no hesitation using Coles on further contracts or recommending Conor and his team to anyone.”

Project: Willowfield Humanities College. Located in Walthamstow, London. Willowfield Humanities college is new build school in Walthamstow that opened in September 2015. The school is a new home for 900 pupils who will be able to enjoy 12,000m2 of external areas including a MUGA pitch, large grass fields with external playing areas, a pond for educational purposes and a playing ground made of tarmac and paving. The teachers will enjoy outdoor parking spaces and soft landscapes areas with a very diversified range of plants. Value: £25m, Contract Coles: £308,000 General impression of the job: After the failing of the contracted subcontractor on the project, Conor Cole suggested to complete the works. Not only did Cole complete the job but Cole caught up the delay generated by the liquidation of the initial subcontractor. I believe it is the teamwork, the good spirit and most of all the high competency of Cole’s teams that led our project to a successful handover, on time and exceeding the quality standards set by our client. The client was particularly happy about the exceptional quality of the Tobermore paving installed by Cole Groundworks. Project: Ebury Bridge Centre located in Westminster, Central London. The Ebury Bridge Centre is located in central London and has a lot of logistical constraints being next to the rail line going to Victoria station. Bouygues UK is building a new school for 550 pupils (GIA over 5,000m2) and a 10 storey block comprising 47 residential flats and a car park basement. The footprint of the building occupies 95% of the surface of the building site making access and egress a challenge. 5,500m3 of soil have been excavated and 260 piles installed. 120lm of sheet-piling have been installed on the boundary line with network rail. Value: £36m, Contract Coles: £500,000 General impression of the job: Given the strong logistic constraints it seemed obvious to us that Cole Groundworks was awarded the groundworks and the drainage contract. Indeed, their incredible performance on Willowfield Humanities college and Queen Mary University, plus the flexibility and the good relationship we have with Conor Cole, led us to conclude that Cole Groundworks was the perfect subcontractor for the job. We made the right choice as Cole Groundworks delivered the expected results on time and by respecting all the constraints linked to the tightness of the site. Cole Groundworks excavated over 500m2 of non hazardous soil, installed 120lm of sheet piling next to the network rail boundary line, 6m away from very sensitive signalling equipment. Without the flexibility and the hard work of Cole Groundworks, we believe that we would currently be behind schedule.

“At ITS we have been delivering Health and Safety training for Cole Groundwork Contracts since Autumn 2016. We have met and communicated with Conor Cole on numerous occasions over this period, providing with difficult logistics in a live university campus and high specification concrete block and natural stone paving. Cole Groundworks are very professional and adaptable to site constraints, always performing to their maximum to give client satisfaction. I would highly recommend Cole Groundworks for the excellent quality of finished product and their adaptability to satisfy the client.Colette Toman, Conor and his team did a great job with the groundworks at Enfield Joint Services Centre. They worked hard to get the project over the line whilst dealing with site restrictions such as protected trees and a very confined site with busy roads on two sides and residential properties on the other two sides of the site boundary.” ,
